Unfortunately, it’s very common for stores to sell counterfeit versions of sex dolls. The brand that is by far the most vulnerable to counterfeiting is our partnerWM-Doll. In the image above, you can see six different older dolls from WM-Doll that you’ll likely recognize from other stores. These dolls are the most frequently copied dolls worldwide, and the counterfeits are often marketed illegally using WM-Dolls’ images.
It’s common for unscrupulous doll shops to sell fake dolls and use incorrect images of the dolls. It’s unusual for reputable shops to use incorrect images of dolls, but unfortunately, it does happen. Those who sell fake dolls at high prices and use images from WM-Doll illegally are, in most cases, stores that focus primarily on sex toys rather than dolls. There are also some large Chinese/international doll stores that sell fake dolls.
What are the telltale signs of a fake doll or untrustworthy store?

In addition, a counterfeit doll is usually of much lower quality than the doll it’s trying to imitate. But of course, it’s hard to know for sure until you’ve seen the doll yourself.
Which doll brands have counterfeits?
As we mentioned earlier, WM-Doll is by far the most targeted brand, and has been for several years. But there are also copies of Irontech Doll, Piper Doll, Irokebijin, and even the occasional Starpery and Zelex. These copies are nowhere near the quality level of the originals, and in some cases, there isn’t even a copy of the product in question—instead, you’ll receive another cheap doll with a similar wig.
I’ve been scammed—is there anything I can do?
First and foremost, you should be aware of the risk you’re taking when, as a Swedish private individual, you order a cheap doll from a questionable store. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Swedish consumer protection laws do not apply when you shop at stores in China. You have no right of withdrawal or right to compensation.
If, on the other hand, you’ve purchased a fake doll at an inflated price from a Swedish store—and that product also uses misleading images—then you may be entitled to a return and a full refund. We’ll never speak ill of competitors or specific stores, but there are plenty of other Swedish stores that sell these dolls with misleading images and at inflated prices—ranging from 13,000 SEK up to 20,000 SEK.
Can a fake doll still be of decent quality?
Just like in many other industries, China is quick to produce counterfeit versions of popular products. There are a great many factories in China that focus exclusively on counterfeits. Of course, some of these operators “do well” and make large profits, while many others fail and go out of business. The companies that do well usually switch gears over time and move into more legitimate production.
As for sex dolls cheaper versions from lesser-known brands, you can sometimes see that their appearances are somewhat reminiscent of classic, popular dolls. In some cases, these are actually older knockoffs that manufacturers have developed into their own models. They’ve modified the face and body slightly to create a new, original product. They’ve then taken their own photos to present an accurate image of the product and, of course, to avoid illegally using someone else’s images.
So, to the main question: Can I still get a doll of “okay” quality even though it’s a fake or cheap? The answer is yes (though it’s risky). As mentioned, there are many different versions of these dolls, and the quality can vary like night and day. The worst dolls are really lousy—they smell bad, are greasy, and are just awful. Then there are also nicer, cheaper dolls that can be of perfectly acceptable quality. The most important thing here is that the pictures are accurate so you can see what product you’ll be getting, and that the price is right.
Buying a doll worth 10,000 SEK for 19,000 SEK in the belief that you’ll get a nice WM-Doll. That’s no fun, and unfortunately, many customers don’t have the energy to fight it—instead, they feel ashamed, “swallow the bitter pill,” and move on. Of course, sellers who sell these dolls at completely inflated prices know this.
Can I get my hands on the original versions of the dolls in the top picture?
The six dolls pictured at the top are some of WM-Doll’s older and most popular models. We don’t have any products with these images in our store, but you can easily order them if you’d like. The first two dolls are WM-Doll 166 cm C-cup with head #273 (e.g., Olivia), the 3rd image (the snowboarder) is WM-Doll 157 cm B-cup with head #159 (e.g., Juno body and Bianca head). Both of these factories are large, and many stores carry brands other than the ones featured on these dolls. There is also a brand of lower quality than DX Value that other stores commonly sell. We do not carry these mannequins in our product line.
Other unscrupulous stores that sell dolls
There are a few other Swedish stores that sell dolls. Most of them are stores that focus primarily on sex toys and carry a small selection of dolls on the side. These dolls are usually unbranded, have incorrect images, are of lower quality, and come at a high price. Classic fakes, in other words.
